Rave Lucid

We are thrilled to welcome the French company Mazelfreten to Cologne for the first time. With RAVE LUCID, they celebrate the electro-dance community that flourished in Paris in the 2000s amid underground club nights and battle culture—a community whose arm-focused dance styles then spread like wildfire across YouTube and social media worldwide. With RAVE LUCID, the ensemble led by choreographers Brandon Miel Masele and Laura Nala Defretin creates a piece about visibility, community, and the desire to carve out space through dance — explosive, pulsating, and full of electrifying energy.
