Rocio Molina
Dancer and choreographer Rocío Molina develops her own artistic language based on a radical reinvention of traditional flamenco. In her work, she combines technical virtuosity, contemporary exploration, and conceptual risk-taking. Molina, born in Málaga in 1984, began dancing at the age of three. At seven, she created her first choreographies. She completed her training at the Royal Dance Conservatory in Madrid. Since 2015, she has been an associate artist at the Théâtre National de Chaillot in Paris and, more recently, at the Théâtre de Nîmes. In 2022, she was awarded the “Silver Lion” for dance at the Venice Biennale as well as the Spanish government’s “Gold Medal for Fine Arts.”
