Louise Lecavalier

Louise Lecavalier, born in Canada, was Édouard Lock’s muse for nearly two decades and a central figure in his company, “La La La Human Steps.” Her signature daring acrobatic jumping technique has become the group’s defining characteristic. Since 1998, Lecavalier has worked as a freelance dancer. In 1999, she was awarded the “Jean A. Chalmers National Award,” Canada’s most prestigious dance prize. In 2006, Lecavalier founded her own company, “Fou glorieux,” and in 2012, she created her first full-length choreography, “So Blue.” “Battleground” followed in 2016. Both works went on world tours.
