Sharon Eyal was a dancer with the “Batsheva Dance Company” from 1990 to 2008, where she served as Associate Artistic Director beginning in 2003 and as resident choreographer from 2005 to 2012. In 2005, she began a close collaboration with Gai Behar, with whom she founded the “Sharon Eyal Dance Company (S-E-D)” in 2013. Together, they regularly develop choreographies in collaboration with leading international festivals and for renowned ensembles such as the “Nederlands Dans Theater,” the “Ballet de l’Opéra national de Paris,” and the “GöteborgsOperans Danskompani.” Her works have received numerous awards, including the German Theater Prize “DER FAUST” for “Soul Chain” (2018) and the “FEDORA – Van Cleef & Arpels Prize” for ballet for “Love Chapter 2” (2017). In addition to dance, Eyal also works on projects for the fashion house Christian Dior and with the music label Young.
