Kyle Abraham
Kyle Abraham, born in the United States in 1977, is one of the most renowned choreographers of the younger generation. In 2006, he founded his company “A.I.M by Kyle Abraham” (formerly “Abraham.In.Motion”) With “A.I.M,” Abraham creates choreographies that draw on his personal experiences and explore misfortune, emotions, and the relationship between music and dance. His works include “The Radio Show”—which won the “Bessie Award” in 2010—as well as “A Ramp to Paradise,” “Pavement,” and “An Untitled Love.” Abraham receives choreography commissions from various major dance companies, including the “Royal Ballet,” the “Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater,” and the “National Ballet of Cuba.” His dance film “When We Fell” for the “New York City Ballet” was described by The New York Times as “one of the most beautiful dance films of the pandemic.”
