George Cespedes

George Céspedes studied dance and choreography at the National Dance School in Havana. After graduating, he became a principal dancer with the company “Danza Contemporánea de Cuba.” In addition, he has choreographed more than twenty works, both for the company and for the Cuban National Ballet. He has won several international awards, including the prize for best choreography at the 2002 Ibero-American Choreography Competition and the Mexican “Luna Prize 2009” for his choreography of Carl Orff’s “Carmina Burana.”
